Coast Guard Auxiliary "Boating Skills and Seamanship" classes set for Feburary - OBX Today

Registration is now open for the next OBX U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary “Boating Skills and Seamanship” boating safety course.

Six in-person session will be held Wednesday Feb. 9, 16 and 23 and Thursday Feb. 10, 17 and 24 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Southern Shores Volunteer Fire Department’s South Dogwood Trail station.

This course satisfies North Carolina boat operator education requirements and includes the following topics:

All classes taught are by certified Coast Guard Auxiliary Instructors. Tuition $50 per person includes textbook and all materials. $35.00 for additional family members.
