STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A 42-year-old Port Richmond man has been arrested and charged in connection with a series of graffiti incidents in Brooklyn, police said.

Jeremiah Smith, of the 2100 block of Richmond Terrace, faces multiple criminal mischief and graffiti charges and one count of trespassing in connection to three separate incidents in Brooklyn, including one that dates back to last year.

On Sept. 24, 2021, around 9 p.m., at the corner of 4th Avenue and Bay Ridge Avenue, Smith is accused of spray painting the tag “MEGA” on the Bay Ridge Avenue R-line train station’s southbound platform wall, according to a statement from an NYPD spokeswoman.

On Jan. 8, at the corner of 3rd Avenue and 38th Street, Smith is accused of spray painting the exterior of two cars of trains with the tags “SS T2B,” “MEGA T2B” in multiple colors.

On May 15, at 23 Carroll St., the defendant is accused of using red spray paint to tag the words “MEGA T2B” onto the outside wall, according to police.
