2022 Mazda3 gets a new carbon version model, which makes the appearance of the vehicle more fashionable. In addition, there is a new exterior color option.
Mazda3 Carbon Edition has a multi-metallic gray appearance with dark blue tones. It uses 18-inch wheels with black finish. The heated rearview mirror and antenna are finished in bright black. Inside, there is a red leather upholstery.
The Carbon Edition is also equipped with a Bose 12 speaker stereo system with aluminum speaker grille and a three-month trial of SiriusXM satellite radio. It has features of the preferred trim level, such as power sunroof, side-view mirror memory function and eight-way power driver's seat.
The Carbon Edition is exclusively equipped with a Skyactiv-G 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and a six-speed automatic transmission that drives the front wheels. The power plant can produce 186 horsepower (139 kilowatts) and 186 pound-feet (252 Newton meters) of torque.
The price of the sedan starts at US$26,400 (US$1,015 excluding the destination), and the starting price of the hatchback is US$27,400.

The new paint color option is Platinum Quartz Metallic. It is suitable for S Select, S Preferred, S Premium, Turbo and Turbo Premium Select trim levels. The 2022 Mazda3 announcement did not specify whether this color will increase the additional cost of the vehicle. Motor1.com contacted Mazda for clarification.
In addition to the 2.5-liter engine, the entry-level powerplant is the Skyactiv-G 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, which produces 155 horsepower (116 kilowatts) and 150 pound-feet (200 Nm) of power, and is connected to the six-speed automatic drive front wheels. There is also the Skyactiv-G 2.5-liter turbocharged engine with a power of 250 horsepower (186 kilowatts) and 320 pound-feet (434 Nm), connected to a six-speed automatic transmission and equipped with all-wheel drive.
