This is just one of 10 simple ways to increase the value of your property.

We know that a touch of paint can do wonders for a dilapidated room or the appearance of a dilapidated house, but what is even more surprising is that Farrow & Ball paint can add £3,000 to the value of your house.

A new study by Money.co.uk reveals the top 10 environmental features that buyers pay most attention to when buying a new home. If you want to sell as soon as possible, you may need to pay attention.

The survey asked 2,000 potential home buyers to disclose how much they think different ecological improvements have added to the value of the property, and found that environmentally friendly (low VOC) coatings can increase the price of your property by thousands of dollars.

The report compares the actual cost of environmentally friendly home improvement with the perceived value that buyers think the same improvement adds to the property, and finds that low-VOC coatings (such as Farrow & Ball) are one of the simplest and most profitable improvements.

The average cost of “installation” is only £96, and when the catering is used to renovate their home, buyers can see an increase in the sale price of their property by £2,636.

Paint selection ranks fifth in the list of environmental upgrades, and potential buyers may be willing to pay an additional £29,090. The first is draft proofing. The average installation cost is £200, but the value of the house has increased by £3,208.
